DL1 fits into existing ceiling cut-outs ranging from 60-92mm. This allows old halogen downlights to be replaced without the need for messy and costly ceiling modification work.
It is also an ultra slim 29mm deep, meaning shallow roof cavities are no issue.
The clever, sealed design has eliminated the possibility of air flow to and from the roof space. This assists with climate control and prevents the ingress of dust and insects. DL1's insulation rating is IC-4, the best thermal rating possible.
