Oxman Lighting develops high-performance lighting systems designed to deliver more output, longer lifespan and greater efficiency using fewer materials.
Our approach challenges conventional lighting design. By rethinking how heat is managed within LED systems, we’ve created a new standard for performance, durability and sustainability.
The story begins in 1995.
Walter Oechsle, former General Manager of Siemens Australia, saw a fundamental problem in the lighting industry. Systems were inefficient, material-heavy, and unnecessarily costly to run over time.
Rather than accept it, he set out to solve it.
Over the next two decades, working independently from his garage in Melbourne, Walter designed, tested and refined a series of lighting concepts focused on improving efficiency at a fundamental level.
As LED technology evolved, so did Walter’s thinking.
He developed a new approach to thermal management that removed heat more efficiently while using significantly less material. Through continuous testing and refinement, this concept proved capable of delivering higher output with greater durability than traditional designs.
This became the foundation of Oxman Lighting’s patented technology.
Recognising the significance of the innovation, Walter’s grandson Philip founded Oxman Lighting to bring the technology to market.
The goal was simple:
To create lighting that performs better, lasts longer, and reduces environmental impact without compromise.
Today, Oxman Lighting products are designed to:
This combination allows us to deliver lighting that is both high-performing and environmentally responsible.
We believe lighting should do more with less.
Less material. Less waste. Less compromise.
More performance. More efficiency. More longevity.
